Buck Kamphausen of Skyview Memorial Lawn, Vallejo, CA, is an underwriter of the event who also donated his 1952 Nash to drive Mrs. Eleanor Nemzura of Sunnyvale, CA from the flag-raising service at Morton Field to St. Peter’s Chapel at our first memorial service in October 2007. Her brother, Lt. Richie Henderson is “on eternal patrol” aboard the USS Wahoo lost at sea, October 11, 1943. Eleanor is joined by Chaplain John Berger and his wife Ione.

We thank Lennar Mare Island for their in-kind contribution of Quarters C, a Captain’s Row Mansion where we hold our reception following the Chapel program each year.

For our 2009 Memorial we wish to thank John Kelly and the Vallejo Rugby Club for the use of Morton Field and their strong support of our flag-raising service even during a scheduled football game on the Field. We are also so very grateful to the crew at the Landing Craft Support Gunboat, LCS-102 for use of Berth 6.
